Intense ruby red with youthful hints. A powerful vinous and spicy nose, perfectly capturing the Tuscan character of the Sangiovese and the softening Merlot. Gentle on the palate, soft, easy to drink and very approachable.
Vinification: The exact blend for the Borgone varies from vintage to vintage but is usually 70% Sangiovese and 30% Merlot. The grapes are harvested from vineyards around the town of Camigliano and are gently pressed on arrival at the winery. Fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats at 26°-28°C with pumping over. Maceration on the skins for 7-10 days.
